FOM PRESENTS KZN YOUTH ORCHESTRA

Friends of Music will present two performances from the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Orchestra conducted by Lykele Temmingh on August 29, 2021.

Due to Covid restrictions, numbers are limited, FOM will be running two shows – 14h00 and 15h30.

The KZN Youth Orchestra has been making music for over 40 years and features musicians from around KZN, and between the ages of 8 to 18. They will play a programme which will include some popular classics, film music and some local South African tunes.

Included in the repertoire will be favourites such as Greensleeves, Bach’s Birthday Cantata, O Fortuna, Star Wars, Mamma Mia, The Greatest Showman and the Soweto String Quartet’s Zebra crossing.

Join FOM for a celebration of the best young musicians the province has to offer. A glimpse into our musical future.

Due to Covid regulations it is necessary to pre-book seats (you can still pay at the door).

The concerts are one hour long and will have no Prelude Performer or interval. Please specify which show you wish to attend.
