The Midlands Trio will appear in Coffee and Concert in Kamberg on August 22, 2021, with two performances.
Enjoy the crisp winter weather in the company of glorious fine music for oboe, bassoon and piano, in the expansive airy sun veranda of a comfortable home in the beautiful KZN Midlands.
Friends Maggie Deppe (oboe, piano); Ilse Myburgh (piano) and Charl van der Merwe (bassoon) have all missed performing live while in Lockdown, so have created a winter pop-up concert at the invitation of musician friend, Agnes Jerman of Puddles Cottage in the Kamberg.
The main features of the carefully-chosen eclectic and varied programme are two French trios especially composed for oboe, piano and bassoon – one by prolific composer and pianist, Francis Poulenc and one by 19th Century early Romantic oboist and composer, Henri Brod.
There are two performances: at 11h00 and 14h00.
Strict CoViD protocols will be observed: Only 45 patrons permitted per concert. There is on-site parking
