SYLVIA BACK AT SEABROOKE’S

A Romantic Comedy about a man… and his dog.

KickstArt Productions is reprising the fabulous comedy: Sylvia - an absurdly funny play featuring some of Durban’s best-loved actors, at Seabrooke’s DHS campus, from October 28 until November 14, 2021.

Greg is on the brink of a mid-life crisis. Then he finds and falls head-over-heels in love with an adorable stray mutt named Sylvia. But Greg’s wife is not happy. You see, Sylvia is no ordinary dog….. And she’s about to chew a hole in a 20-year old marriage!

If you have ever adored a dog, you will love this barking-mad, romantic comedy! National Arts Festival Gold Ovation winner Cara Roberts plays Sylvia; Bryan Hiles and Liesl Coppin play husband and wife Greg and Kate. They are supported by Greg King in a surprise cameo appearance!

Written by AR Gurney, premiering off Broadway in 1995, KickstArt’s production is designed and directed by KickstArt’s Greg King and multi-talented Peter Court; lighting by Michael Broderick and costumes by Peter Court.

Sylvia runs from October 28 to November 14 with performances Thursdays and Fridays at 19h00; Saturdays 14h30 and 19h00 and Sundays at 14h30.
