November 21, 2021: Two Guns Of Comedy Special

What a perfect way to kick off our festive season show programme with this remarkable duo.  Mmangaliso Mhlongo & Kedibone Mulaudzi one night only on stage in Durban. Let comedy engulf your senses!

Mhlongo is a stand-up comedian who started his career by winning best newcomer comedian in the Comediology Competition six years ago. He has since MC’d for well-known comedian Barry Hilton, toured with Simphiwe Shembe, Siyanda Maphumulo and Skhumba Hlophe. He has had numerous appearances on Trippin with Skhumba which aired on Mzansi Magic. He shared the stage with Carvin Goldstone, Trevor Gumbi, Celeste Ntuli, Sifiso Nene, Jem Atkins, Robbie Collins and others. Mmangaliso Mhlongo is a comedian definitely worth seeing on stage.

Kedibone Mulaudzi has been cemented in the heats of South Africans over the past 17 years. International appearances include performances in Korea (South, that is), South Bank Arts Centre London-UK, Atlanta, Tanzania and many others. He writes his sets for international audiences, his jokes are funny in South Africa and anywhere else in the world. He has done three Comedy Specials on Comedy Central, presents Daily Sun TV and is resident comedian for Joyous Celebrations, MetroFM, PhalaphalaFM, SAFM and CapricornFM. He has recently been crowned National Comedy Gold Medalist winning the National Comedy Championship in Cape Town.

Believe it or not – Kedibone discovered and developed Trevor Noah. (Noah gave him a beautiful shout-out when recently receiving his GQ’s Newsman Of The Year award.)

There is no doubt that Kedibone Mulaudzi is one of the top South African comedians that delivers, unlike most politicians!!

December 8 to 30, 2021:  Peter Pan:  Adult Panto

The 25th Annual Pantomime for Grown-ups! It has long been a tradition in Durban to celebrate the festive season with a trip to the naughty pantomime for grown-ups: a well-known story with a decidedly grown up twist, a smattering of well-known songs and a fair amount of risqué one-liners.

From its first production in 1996, the pantomime has brought non-stop laughter to Durban audiences. The panto has been seen at various venues across Durban and found a home OnStage@Altitude in 2016. Changed to Pantomime For Grown-Ups:  its former title was not liked by the social media algorithms!!

This year will see the 6th pantomime at Altitude with the return of the 2011 offering of Peter Pan (adapted of course, since that has been our motto:  adapt to survive!). With amazing songs and loads of laughter, Darren King’s script is brought to life by an amazingly talented cast:  Sphindile Khuzwayo, Wonder Ndlovu, Darren King, Thomie Holtzhausen and Chaunees Bokaba. Set-design by Bryan Hiles.

Tickets: R150 – (group booking discounts available).
