BATCENTRE LIVE WITH SIMTHANDILE MTOLO


Concerts SA in Conjunction with Batcentre presents dynamic vocalist Simthandile Mtolo this Sunday (December 12, 2021) at 14h00.

This jazz and soul songstress is a performing and visual artist who carries over a decade of experience in the creative and entertainment industry. She has performed in a number of major musicals and theatre productions, and has groomed her gift in music through jazz on major platforms around South Africa.

In 2015, Simthandile won the title for East Coast Radio's #BeTheBand 2015 competition, and continues to grow in the world of corporate entertainment.

Her recent projects include The Township Jazz Society. It is an intimate pop-up music production which tours the townships within the province of KwaZulu Natal, featuring local acts performing a variety of South African jazz types, for an appreciating local audience; rich with information and connection to genuine South African jazz.

Her influences include Simphiwe Dana, Esperanza Spalding, Erica Badu as well as Whitney Housten, Jill Scott, Gregory Porter, Maleh, Lalah Hathaway, and Siphokazi.
