Coming to KZN this festive season and looking for something to do? Why not take a trip behind an 83-year-old Steam Locomotive, Wesley? The journey departs from Kloof Railway Station as it traverses on the Old Main Line, meandering along the Valley of 1000 Hills, through one of the oldest operating tunnels in South Africa to Inchanga.
At Inchanga, which used to be the halfway point between Durban and Pietermaritzburg on the Old Main Line, there is plenty to see and do for the whole family. Your ticket enables you to discover Railway artefacts in the Museum which is situated in the Old Station Master's House, look for Thomas & Friends in the Modeller's Shed & other "mini" trains as well as do some Christmas shopping at the Inchanga Station Craft Market & grab something to eat, with foods to suit most tastes & home-grown coffee on sale.
