KZN-based sculptor Sarah Richards’ latest newsletter gives the fascinating story about Humphrey, the local SPCA fundraising dog called 'Humphrey', in Umhlanga Rocks,
Together, his owner Alwyn Immerman and Humphrey have been raising money for the Durban and Coast SPCA. They have raised over 1 million Rand and want to raise more.
“One of my highlights of 2021 was meeting and then sculpting Humphrey. Alwyn said he found a furry ball at the back of the cage when at the SPCA looking for a new companion. Humphrey is adorable, friendly and a great artists' model.
“The sculpture is now on the Umhlanga Beachfront outside the Cabana Beach Resort on the main promenade for everyone to see and pat. You can also donate to the SPCA to help Humphrey continue his good work.”
