(Right: Aaron Saunders; Grant Halliday; Ross Tapson & Neil Ford)

KZN musicians In The Flesh, who have been wowing audiences with shows featuring the music of Pink Floyd, David Bowie and Southern Rock Classics are at it again - they’re upping the ante with It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll, a tribute to the music of the Rolling Stones.

They will perform It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll at Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban from March 18 to 20, 2022, and on March 25 in Pietermaritzburg.

In The Flesh consists of veteran performers Grant Halliday (drums), Neil Ford (bass guitar), Aaron Saunders (guitar and vocals) and Ross Tapson (guitar and vocals). For this show the rotation is joined by well-loved Durban performer and show-leader Evan Cullum (keyboards and vocals).

The Rolling Stones are both icons and legends. The vast body of work they have produced has helped influence popular culture since their debut in 1962. Active for almost six decades, they are one of the most popular and enduring bands of the rock era. In the early 1960s, they pioneered the gritty, heavier-driven sound that came to define hard rock, and their estimated record sales of 200 million makes them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Expect to hear all the well-known hits, including Honky Tonk Women, Jumping Jack Flash, Paint It Black and Satisfaction, as well as many unexpected and lesser-known gems.

Shows take place on March 18 and 19 at 19h00 and on March 20 at 14h00. (Venue opens 90 minutes before show for snacks/drinks)

Tickets R180. Bring food picnic baskets or buy at the venue. A full bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). Limited secure parking available.

All seating will be at separate tables and the venue will obviously be seating co-habiting couples and/or family members together.

With the current Covid levels, the venues will be limiting capacity to 50% maximum capacity per show. Strict Covid protocols will be observed.

Booking is essential on email: roland@stansell.co.za or through Computicket.
