PERFECTLY FINE FROM KZNPO

(Singer Natalie Rungan; Goo Imthawin from Goo’s on Beachwood; Singer Njabulo Nzuza & Melissa Samuels: Marketing Manager)

Fine Music, Fine dining, as the sun sets at Beachwood

Perfectly Fine: Wrap up the Human Rights Day long weekend in fine style in the company of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra with Natalie Rungan and Njabulo Nzuza, and a sublime Thai fusion meal from Goo’s at Beachwood Country Club on Human Rights Day, March 21 from 16h30.

The Siza Foundation, the proactive CSI hub of The Durban based Samuels Group – key players in the logistics, sales and marketing of petroleum related products and vehicle servicing industry in South Africa – is hosting the event as part of their arts support programme.

Perfectly Fine combines an elegant fine dining experience with cuisine by respected Asian / Thai chef Goo Imthawin from Goo’s on Beachwood, and a programme of light classics; catchy pop; hits from the musicals and some jazz fusion courtesy of the mighty KZN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of resident conductor, Lykele Temmingh. Soloists are Natalie Rungan and Njabulo Nzuza.

Marvellous music will be interspersed with delicious food: starters on arrival, main course during interval, dessert at the close of the concert – and wine throughout, all as the sun sets over the expansive Beachwood Golf Course.

Various packages have been created to ensure patrons can have a Perfectly Fine experience. The premium package comprises an elegant three-course Thai-inspired fusion plated meal and wine to be enjoyed in the restaurant; a second option is a delicious platter for two with wine, served on the huge veranda, and the third is a delicious picnic basket served on a complimentary picnic blanket on the lawn.

“After the lengthy lockdown, we are desperate to engage – both with friends and with music. We have all missed concerts and events. We felt it was time to facilitate a gathering to enjoy the “finer” things in life – good friends, glorious music, quality wine and a delicious meal. Beachwood Country Club always pulls out all the stops to host us – and their venue is accessible, spacious and airy. In conversation with KZNPO’s Bongani Tembe, we have added the KZNPO in to the mix,” enthused, Darin Samuels. “The result is Perfectly Fine – an evening to remind us of the finer things and a celebration of life - and to rejoice in our tenacity in getting through this challenging time. For that we will raise our glass, and strike up the band – or in this case, the orchestra!”
