Kickstart is delighted to be returning to the Hilton Theatre at Hilton College next week, for ONE FINAL PERFORMANCE of their hit comedy, Sylvia. A Romantic Comedy about a man… and his dog.
The performance will take place at the Hilton Theatre on March 22 at 19h30.
“We are especially delighted and proud to be the first professional production to return the much-loved home of The Hilton Arts Festival since theatres everywhere were forced to close by dreadful Covid and Lockdown Restrictions,” says director Greg King.
“Sylvia was first produced by Kickstart in Durban in October 2020 and 2021. It has been our great pleasure to perform it during these very dark and dreary times. Join us as we celebrate our return to the Hilton stage and don’t miss your last chance to see this blissfully funny play, featuring some of Durban’s best-loved actors.”
Greg is on the brink of a mid-life crisis. Then he finds and falls head-over-heels in love with an adorable stray mutt named Sylvia. But Greg’s wife is not happy. You see, Sylvia is no ordinary dog …. And she’s about to chew a hole in a 20-year-old marriage!

National Arts Festival Gold Ovation winner Cara Roberts plays Sylvia; Bryan Hiles and Liesl Coppin play husband and wife Greg and Kate. They are supported by Greg King in three hilarious cameo roles.
