MAMA MIA – THE MOVIE


The Rhumbelow Durban Classics Cinema On The Big Screen programme is set to bring patrons one of the most entertaining movies of the last few years – Mama Mia – on Saturday June 25 at 19h00 and Sunday June 26 at 14h00.

Running Time: 104 min (excluding 20-minute interval)

Public Screening licensed through MPLC (Motion Picture Licensing Company).

(The screening was re-scheduled due to previous power outage in Umbilo)

Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, is preparing for her daughter’s wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie, the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother’s past in the hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

Mama Mia stars Christine Baranski, Pierce Brosnan, Dominic Cooper, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Stellan Skarsgård, Meryl Streep, and Julie Walters.

Dress up for fun and sing along to all your favourite ABBA songs!

Screenings: Rhumbelow Durban – Saturday June 25 at 19h00 and Sunday June 26 at 14h00.

Picnic baskets may be brought to the venue, or food can be purchased onsite – burgers, wors rolls, chicken pops and chips, cheesy Russians, snack baskets etc. A full bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). The venue opens 90 minutes before each show for snacks/drinks.

All seating will be at separate tables and the venue will obviously be seating co-habiting couples and/or family members together. With the current Covid levels, the venues will be limiting capacity to 50% maximum and Covid protocols will apply. Masks must be worn except when eating or drinking.

Limited secure parking is available.
