Pietermaritzburg-based Steinway pianist Christopher Duigan continues his laudable and successful efforts to present his work to the public via well-known venues and streaming online.
Live-Streams
He continues the live-streams on a 'free to view' status in July. The next concerts will be live on Saturday July 16 & Wednesday 20 July at 19h00. However, these can be viewed at any time after that at his YouTube channel.
Paid/Gated Presentations
Additional 'behind the scenes', detailed
discussion session, plus formal concert presentations, will be available on a
pay per view system i.e. a fee per session will be required to see them.
Live Concerts
A limited number of live concerts will be
presented at the end of the month. Duigan will be focusing on popular
main-stream classics including Beethoven's Pathétique Sonata, selections from
Schubert Impromptus Op. 90 and Liszt's Sonetto 104 del Petrarca. Concerts will
take place at his home (Casa Mexicana) (July 29), Tatham Art Gallery (July 31)
and also in association with Friends of Music in Durban (July 24).
Piano Lights

A new project that may appeal to a
different audience is a Piano Light Series. These will offer an easy-going
and entertainment selection of classics, pops and music from around the world
in an effort to engage, and re-engage, with new, and established audiences.
