ROBIN MOODLEY EXHIBITION AT KZNSA

(Above: Work by Robin Moodley)

KZNSA is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Durban artist Robin Moodley, winner of the 2022 KZNSA Annual Members' Award.

Titled Time In Space and Time In Memory - An Introspection, the exhibition opens on August 12, 2022, at 17h30 for 18h00.

The work deals with how time, space and circumstances shape who we are. Economic and political] systems are designed to accrue and secure wealth for a few. They create marginalization, disenfranchisement, dislocation and ultimately fractured identity.

Concrete is used as a medium to freeze time, thus giving one the opportunity to reflect on the tensions and contentions. Hopefully, this opens the eyes of our hearts to see in the context of the continuum of time and recognize intergenerational interdependence.
