The Fort Nottingham Highland Games, taking place at the Fort Nottingham Museum on September 10, 2022, will cater for a day of heritage, fun and history as found at a typical Highland Gathering.
The Highland Gathering will feature prominently as the main attraction with Celtic dancing and athletic events such as Tossing the Caber, Tug-o’-war, Kilted mile, Weight over the bar and the swirl of kilts and the skirl of the Pipes, to stir the Scot in each of the spectators where you are guaranteed a truly memorable spectacle, one that mixes grace and elegance with brute strength and stamina.
A concentration of Midlands-based merchandise, food and beverage stalls, children’s activities (face painting and jumping castle) will provide for a full day of activities for the entire family as either spectator or participant.
