Taking place from September 9 to 11, 2022, The Point Arts Festival is a fresh grassroots event that sees a bunch of creative Durbanites teaming up to present an incredible four days of theatre, comedy, music, art and more.
It is a family-friendly event for all to enjoy with free and paid-for activities in multiple locations within the Point Waterfront Precinct.
“The aim of the festival is to allow people to explore the precinct,” say the organisers. ”Walkability is a strong aspect we are pushing and are hoping people will hop from one venue to the next.”
Activities include Affordable Art Show, My Dream City Youth Art Show, The Point Market hosted by the Breakfast Collective, A series of Photography and Art Solo and joint exhibitions, Comedy and solo shows hosted by Not Quite Right Comedy, Interactive street pop-ups, 3 nights of Music in partnership with the Music Imbizo.
Some of the supportive venues that have opened their doors to be part of the festival are The Breakfast Room, Station Collective, Studio 3, The Art Room, The Chairman, Robsons, The Bond Shed, Maha Cafe, and OnPoint.
