VISIT/RE/VISIT ART COMPETITION


Submission dates:

1. Thursday September 30, 2022

2. Friday October 21, 2022

 

The visit/re/visit art competition is based on the Tatham Art Gallery collection and run-in association with Epworth High School. The Tatham is situated in Pietermaritzburg.

The competition is open to all high school students.

Participants are encouraged to visit the Gallery as soon as possible where they can visit and reinterpret a number of exciting artworks.

Entry forms and competition information is available at the Gallery in the entrance foyer.

Below are artists’ names and title of art works to be interpreted:

1978 Sithembiso Sibisi Ëmendweni

2157 Vuminkosi Zulu Praying For The Sick Child'

2014 Jutta Faulds A Year In The Life Of Our Planet

There are two submission dates so that gives those who have not yet entered this fantastic competition to get to the 'gallery and get revisiting.'

The opening and prize giving will take place at the Tatham Art Gallery on November 25, 2022, at 18h00

All entries are to be delivered to the Tatham Art Gallery to Ms Velile Khumalo at Reception.

There is no limit to the number of entries per student.

Cost is R50 per entry.

The Tatham Art Gallery is situated opposite the Town Hall in Chief Albert Luthuli Street, Pietermaritzburg. It is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10h00 to 17h00. Café Tatham is open on Saturdays.
