Steinway Pianist Christopher Duigan plays a programme titled The Popular Piano on October 28, 2022, at his Pietermaritzburg home, Casa Mexicana.
The format introduces a new idea to include a meal after the concert.
For this performance for the summer season Christopher Duigan will play a new selection The Popular Piano, an extremely appealing programme that includes many of the most familiar piano melodies of all time.
Duigan will include Scott Joplin - The Entertainer, Moskowski - Etincelles, Liszt - La campanella, Jeremiah Clarke - Prince of Denmark’s March, WA Mozart - Sonata ‘facile’ K 545, Matos Rodriquez - La cumparsita plus a selection of popular contemporary classics and film music.

Optional Dinner: Add R150 to stay on for a light dinner after the concert. Guests should bring their own wine. Bookings of 4 or more are offered a reserved table. Bookings of 2/3 will be seated at the ‘long table’ or enjoy a verandah sofa or garden table (weather permitting).
The venue opens at 18h30 with the concert at 19h00. There is patrolled street parking. Casa Mexicana is situated at 35 Montgomery Drive, Athlone, Pietermaritzburg.
