It is with" great joy and a massive sigh of relief" that KickstArt announces their return to the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre with a family pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, this coming month from December 8 until January 15, 2023.

“We invite you to join some of Durban's best loved actors on a magical romp up the famous fairy tale beanstalk and beyond - an adventure with toe-tapping songs, jokes, slapstick, romance, fantastic sets and fantasy costumes!” say Steven Stead and Greg King who run the highly-acclaimed KickstArt theatre company.

The show stars dashing newcomer William Young as the hero, Jack, with the golden-voiced Roshanda Lewis as his love-interest, Princess Jill. Blessing Xaba steps into the Dame’s high heels to play Jack’s long-suffering mother, Flora Flatbroke. Panto favourites Bryan Hiles and Iain ‘Ewok’ Robinson feature as the inept robbers, Cecil and Claude.

The forces of good and evil are represented by Shelley McLean Downham as the ditsy good fairy, Glissanda Goldenvox, with Liesl Coppin as the deliciously nasty Lady Perfidia Beastly. And much–loved, versatile actor, Lyle Buxton, once again gets up on his stilts to play the Giant.
