VISIT/RE/VISIT ART COMPETITION

The award celebration has arrived for an exciting competition for all high school students – visit/re/visit interpreted artworks that are currently on display at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg.

The Tatham has collaborated with Epworth as part of the gallery's Outreach Programme, and a number of schools were urged to participate in an exciting new to-be annual project.

The visit/re/visit art competition is based on the Tatham Art Gallery collection and runs in association with Epworth High School. The competition is open to all high school students, regardless of whether they study art or not as long as they can reinterpret a number of pre-selected artworks and create their own original artwork. This exhibition honours the legacy of keeping the Visual Arts alive and pupils will get exposure.

The prize giving and exhibition opening will take place at the Tatham Art Gallery on November 25, 2022, at 18h00. The opening speaker will be Fahmeedah Omar.

The exhibition runs until January 29, 2023, at 17h00.
