Bongani Tembe, Chief Executive and Artistic
Director of the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra (KZNPO), has announced the
line-up for the first Season of the orchestra’s World Symphony Series 2023.
“Our Summer symphony concerts take place at the Playhouse Opera Theatre as usual, and will run from March 2 to 23, 2023, with performances commencing at 19h00. Each evening's musical offerings are included below, and tickets are available now from our offices.
“Note that the Playhouse Opera Theatre is in the process of being upgraded, involving the installation of brand-new seats specially imported from Spain. For the Summer Season, they have made temporary yet comfortable seats available. As a result of this, we have decided to offer discounts ranging between 15-20% on the price of single tickets, with an additional 15-20% off subscription tickets.
“In other words, as a subscriber, you will save between 30-35% on prices compared to last year’s 2022 Spring Symphony Season. This means that you could enjoy all four concerts for as little as R340!”
Season tickets are only available through the KZNPO offices on marketing@kznphil.org.za or 031 369 9438. Single tickets may also be purchased now, and will be available online via Quicket in the near future.
“Your safety is of paramount importance to us. Our security team will be stationed around the Playhouse / parking precinct, and all COVID protocols will be strictly followed.
“Looking forward to sharing a wealth of superb music-making with you all!”, concludes Tembe.
