Feel the spirit of Easter at the Durban Symphonic Choir’s performance of Stainer’s Crucifixion.

Stainer’s Crucifixion vividly portrays the events of the Passion of Christ. Scored for tenor and bass soloists, organ and mixed choir, the piece combines recitatives, solos, and masterful choruses that range from the graphic mob shouts of Crucify Him to the ethereally beautiful meditation at the work's centrepiece God so Loved the World.

Directed by Ros Conrad, conducted by Naum Rousine, accompanied by organist Christopher Cockburn, with tenor soloist Themba Maseko and bass soloist Andile Dlamini, this performance is not to be missed.

The performance of Stainer’s Crucifixion takes place on April 2 from 15h00 to 17h00 at St Joseph’s Cathedral in Mariannhill.

Tickets: R120 (under 12’s free), available online at Quicket or at the door (no cards). Food and beverages will be on sale. Bulk bookings on Quicket of 10 tickets @ R108 each - Quicket
