It's First Fridays at the KZNSA and all are welcome to join in for the opening of a new exhibition, Ikhono Lodumo tomorrow Friday March 3 at 17h30 for 18h00.
The opening event is accompanied by a fashion and music activation by Gog Geni, and the Arts Café will be open for dinner.
Ikhono lodumo is an isiZulu phrase that translates to 'celebrated talent'. This exhibition celebrates the success of KZN artists in the 2022 Sasol New Signatures competition, with the winner, Mondli Mbhele, as well as merit award recipients Rohini Amratlal and Andrea Walters living and practicing in Durban, KZN.
KZNSA is committed to recognising and showcasing the growth and development of artists from the KwaZulu-Natal province and applauds the 10 artists from KZN who achieved recognition at a national level with their works selected for the Sasol New Signatures 2022 Top 100 exhibition at the Pretoria Art Museum.
Artists featured are: Mondli Mbhele (Winner) with Rohini Amratlal (Merit Award) and Andrea Walters (Merit Award).
