KZNSA: A FAINT TRANSPORT

(Above: “I Dream of a Ship Which Might Save Me” - Mixed media on canvas by Josephine Grindrod. 950 x 1400 mm 2023)

The KZNSA will open a solo exhibition by Josephine Grindrod titled A Faint Transport on April 4 at 17h30 for 18h00

Grindrod draws on art historical and biblical images of 'The Deluge' to explore the threat of climate-induced flooding to all forms of life, using these to consider where our hope might be put in ‘end-times’. Grindrod’s title also references the frail means of safe passage possible within the chaos and fraughtness of contemporary life and her faith in the importance of dreaming as transport to more expansive, less concrete realms.

The Arts Cafe will be open for dinner and members will receive a complimentary glass of wine or juice. Entry is free and all are welcome!
