The KZN Youth Orchestra will be performing in the Botanic Gardens Amphitheatre on Father’s Day, Sunday June 18, 2023, at 11h00. This was intended to be Mother’s Day concert, but postponed due to bad weather.
The orchestra comprises 70 young musicians from all around KZN province. The hour-long concert will be an exciting one with music encompassing a variety of genres. There will be pieces from the Romantic period, movies and musicals and is excellent family entertainment.
Included in the programme are such pieces as Arabian nights, Pirates of the Caribbean, jazz and rock items including As it was and the ever-popular Sway.
Conducted by Lykele Temmingh and presented by Cathy Peacock, the picnic concert will send you away with a tune in your hearts. Treat your dads, enjoy Durban’s glorious weather, bring a picnic and come and support the youngsters and be enthralled by their orchestral delights.
