The annual dance extravaganza, Shall We Dance is back with a bang at the Playhouse Opera from September 15 to 17. The showcase spotlights Durban’s diverse dance scene which will be on stage for five performances only. Dance styles featured include beautiful ballroom; sensational Latin American; traditional and contemporary Ballet; toe-tapping Irish; dazzling Bollywood; smooth tap, dramatic Spanish and some elegant show dancing.
The yearly spectacle celebrates its 29th year and is presented by the South African Dance Teachers’ Association, the show is directed by dance stalwarts Caryl Cusens and Neville Letard.

Guest artists are Cape Town’s Keanan McClune and Chantelle Le Roux who are the undefeated South African Amateur, Ballroom and Latin Couple.
Joining them will be KZN couple who featured last year. Brian Booth and Londeka Mngadi will be dazzling audiences with a very vibrant style of Latin American.

Another KZN couple who have recently teamed up as partners are Khulu Khumalo and Sithembile Ndwalane.
Then finally, the cute factor in this year’s edition – introducing future champions in the making, Asiphile Nzimande (10) and Slindile Ncobela (9) who will be dancing a couple of numbers as guest soloist.
The show times for Shall We Dance are Friday 19h00 – R120; Saturday 13h00 – R180, 17h00 - R180 and Sunday 11h00 – R120, 15h00 – R180. Concessions apply.
