Patrons of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra can make use of a complimentary Park and Ride service to get to the Thursday evening concerts – with two services being offered – one departing from the upper highway including Musgrave, and one from the North Coast
The 2023 World Symphony Series Spring
Season marks the Orchestra’s 40th Anniversary. It will run in the Playhouse
Opera Theatre between October 19 and November 9, each Thursday concert
commencing at 19h00.
The Upper Highway Route departs from St Agnes Church in Kloof at 17h30; stops off at Westville Senior Primary School at 18h00 and finally stops at Durban High School at 18h20 before heading to town.
The North Coast route leaves the bus pick up point at Marine Walk, Salta Mall Umhloti at 17h40, then heads to Grace Family Church in Umhlanga at 18h00 before heading to town.
Free parking is available at all venues.
There is no charge for this service, but one needs to pre-book a spot on the bus by emailing info@kznphil.org.za.
Good to Know:
KZN Philharmonic Season tickets, and
bookings for individual concerts, are available at Quicket outlets / online.
There will be Tea and Symphony concerts for
the final rehearsal every Thursday morning at 10h00 in the Playhouse Opera.
Tickets R50 adults throughout. Unreserved seating downstairs stalls, and the
Playhouse coffee corner is open for coffee and light snacks.
