Coming up at Durban Girls’ College this month is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

The play tells a moving and poignant story of 15 year-old Christopher Boone who stumbles on a mystery involving his determination to find out who killed Wellington, his neighbour’s dog. In his quest, Christopher stumbles upon discovering what actually happened to his mother.

Christopher’s journey becomes one of self-discovery as we witness the world through Christopher’s perceptions and imagination. It’s an emotional, imaginative and triumphant story!

This amateur production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is performed by senior students at Durban Girls’ College and is directed by Wendy Watson, with sound, lighting and special effects by Megan and Luke Holder.

The production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.

Adapted by Simon Stephens and based on the novel by Mark Haddon, this play premiered at the National Theatre, London in 2012 and has played to enthusiastic audiences since, while receiving rave reviews and several Tony Awards.
