Join The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music next Wednesday, August 21, 2024, for The Vocal Showcase which will feature Voice students from the Jazz and Popular Music programmes in the Music Discipline at UKZN.
The voice students will present a broad range of repertoire which will include jazz standards, pop favourites, much loved musical theatre selections and two compositions by South African jazz pianist-vocalist Thando Ntuli.
The concert also features the Pop Voice Ensemble under the direction of Mbuso Nxumalo. Song choices include My One and Only Love, Blues Etude, Halelua, Eduze Kwami and Reflection amongst others and the concert features Phumzile Ndlovu, Thabiso Njoko, Thembelihle Mkhize, Amahle Khumalo, Ntethelelo Vilakazi, Andile Buthelezi, Blessing Mkila, Sindi Motha, Zibusiso Mathe, Thembalethu Bhengu, Zibuyile Shabane, Amanda Mbatha, Thabo Kinana and Sandile Dube who are studying pop voice or jazz voice with Debbie Mari, Slindo Zondo and Lihle Ngidi.
The concert takes place on August 21, 2024. Doors open at 17h00, music starts at 17h30.

The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music is situated at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College Campus, Dennis Shepstone Building, Level 2 in Durban.
