DURBAN GIRLS' COLLEGE HOSTS COLLABORATIVE CONCERT WITH KEARSNEY COLLEGE

Durban Girls' College is excited to announce an enchanting evening of choral and orchestral music in collaboration with Kearsney College, set to take place on Wednesday, September 18 at 18h30 in the DGC Centenary Hall in Musgrave Road.

This collaboration with the esteemed Kearsney Choir and Orchestra presents a valuable opportunity for the DGC Choir and Orchestra to showcase their musical talent and to gain from the enriching experience

Kearsney College Music has become synonymous with slick, professional productions with its signature blend of classical, pop and indigenous music. The choir boasts a long list of international accolades. The Kearsney Orchestra is conducted by Jonas Brolin and the choir conductor is Bernard Krüger.

The DGC Choir and Orchestra will perform under the direction of Ronel Perks and Cathy Peacock. Over the past three years, the DGC Orchestra has achieved notable success in the National SASBA competition, securing top honours in their category and performing at prestigious venues like The Playhouse. They have also collaborated with the KZN Youth Orchestra for their showcase concert in May. Their diverse repertoire includes classical, rock, pop, and South African favourites.

The concert takes place on September 18, 2024, at 18h30 at the Centenary Hall, Durban Girls' College, Musgrave Road.

Tickets: R50 per person, available on Quicket or on Zapper at the door.
