KZN ARTISTS FOR INVESTEC CAPE TOWN ART FAIR

Investec Cape Town Art Fair is the largest international contemporary art fair in Africa, attracting 124 exhibitors and 30,000 art enthusiasts. It provides a dynamic space for collectors, galleries, curators, artists, and art journalists from around the world to forge new connections and engage with cutting-edge contemporary art. Set in one of the world’s most unique and rapidly evolving cultural hubs, the fair offers an intimate experience at the heart of Cape Town’s vibrant and growing art scene.

Six artists with strong KZN connections will be on the programme:

-Astrid Dahl studied as a ceramicist and moved to the Midlands of KZN where she works in a bronze casting foundry.

-Bhekisani Manyoni born in Greytown, but he grew up near Rorke’s Drift where he attended art school. He works in ceramics and weaving.

-Deborah Poynton is a painter, originally from Durban.

-Mmangaliso Nzuza Is a painter working in Durban

-Kylie Wentzel will be exhibiting linoprints, she lives and works in Umhloti

-Durban borne Nicola Bailey is a multimedia artist

Investec Cape Town Art Fair is produced by Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa (FMEA) of Fiera Milano S.p.A, a global leader in exhibition management and the organisers of miart international modern and contemporary art fair. Investec, the international banking, investment and wealth management services provider, has been the title sponsor since 2017.

The 12th Investec Cape Town Art Fair will run from February 21 to 23 at the Cape Town International Conference Centre, from 12h00 to 19h00.
