To entertain visitors over the series of long weekends, the
Pavilion Shopping Centre is hosting various events and activations: children’s
participative crafts and games activities, a “Surprise & Delight” promotion
and a night market.
April has an abundance of days off with public holidays over four consecutive weekends. With locals and holidaymakers looking for things to do during that time, the Pavilion Shopping Centre is laying on some family-friendly activities over the period.
The Easter themed activation, for the little ones, will take place between April 18-21 on the cinema level near Mugg & Bean from 11h00 to 18h00 daily. The activation will feature an interactive Easter Bunny Garden Experience, where children can enjoy a variety of activities including cookie decorating, creating bunny masks, and playing garden themed games, which will offer plenty of photo worthy moments in the beautiful Easter children’s activation.
Plus from April 18-22, there will be a “Surprise & Delight” promotion where roaming promoters will randomly spot shoppers throughout the centre, and they will stand a chance to win their share of R25,000 in Pavilion shopping vouchers. (Terms and conditions apply.)

Night Market
The night market is back by popular demand on Saturday, 26 April at Undercover Parking Lot B (near Entrance 5 and 6) from 15h00 until 22h00.
The one-day afternoon and evening market supports
micro-businesses and pop-up entrepreneurs, allowing a wide range of shopping,
delicious food, kiddies entertainment and live music options for visitors. The
market has confirmed 50-plus stalls including Easter gifting ideas, bespoke
items, garments, jewellery, handmade crafts, décor items, vintage wares and
toys.
There will be a food offering with light meals, street food, snacks, market fare, speciality dishes and desserts. Visitors can enjoy live music throughout the afternoon and evening.
Among the featured performers will be Harmony in Motion comprising pianist Riley Giandhari and violinist Giselle Human - a genre-blending duo who bring a classical touch to today’s biggest hits. With their rich musical training and creative arrangements, they reimagine popular songs through the lens of classical performance. From intimate venues to large-scale events, they deliver a unique listening experience that bridges classical tradition and modern sound. Giselle is a performer, playing with the Durban City Orchestra and teaching at (among others) Sycamore Music Academy in Glenwood. They will do two sets, at 17h00 and 19h00.
