ZULU DANCE AT USHAKA

Thrilling showcase of cultural entertainment at Zulu Dance Championships at uShaka Marine World.

A thrilling showcase of some of Africa’s best cultural entertainment takes place at uShaka Marine World on December 13 and 14.

Dance troupes from around the country will converge on the marine theme park to via for the title of Zulu Dance Champions in a competition sponsored by Ethekwini, iGagazi 99.5fm and the Department of Arts, Culture and Tourism.

Registration takes place on December 13 at 09h00. Thereafter all groups will compete in the preliminary round of the competition.

The top ten groups will be chosen to compete in the final round on December 14 where they will dance their hearts out for a celebrity judging panel. The top ten will be competing in an effort to defeat the current champions, Amabhubhesi Nqabakazulu.

Also up for grabs is a R10,000 cash prize as well as a contract, to the value of R30,000, to perform at uShaka Marine World during peak season. Runners -up will also receive exciting prizes, as well as cash packages of R3,000 for second place and R2,000 for third place.
