This May, BBC Entertainment will premiere a brand new series of the popular quiz programme, The Weakest Link.

Dressed in austere black, presenter Anne Robinson has a whole new bunch of contestants to quiz, challenge and generally terrify. No-one is safe under her bespectacled glare...

Nine contestants are brought together to play the fastest, meanest quiz show on television. They don’t know each other, but they will have to work as a team if they want to win prize money of up to £20,000. But eight of them will leave with nothing, as round by round they lose the player voted the weakest link. Since its debut in the UK in August 2000, The Weakest Link has caused a global sensation and cemented its position as one of the most successful quiz formats of all time, and has been produced in more than 30 countries. It’s time to ditch the ditherers, sack the slackers and vote off the weakest link…
