UNPLUGGED

Some of Durban’s finest musos - Barry Thomson, Andy Turrell, Marion Loudon, Calli Thomson, Mali Sewell and Jason Andrew - collaborate to produce two hours of pure, honest “unplugged” sounds.

The Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest invites: “Come and join us “in our lounge” for some Spring-Time “Kick-Back Therapy”, and we’re not talking bribes here. The group, together with the Heritage Theatre’s Gary McKenzie have compiled a rep of some of the finest songs ever written to guarantee you unwind relax and sing along whilst enjoying the Heritage Theatre’s fine food and wine.”

Expect songs made famous by artists like Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Bruce Hornsby, Sting, Vanessa Carlton, America, Rod Stewart and The Eagles, as well as some of the all-time classic unplugged sounds of Layla, Romeo & Juliet and Boat On The River. All this with surprise unplugged renditions of a couple of rock classics.

Unplugged runs until September 19 and offers an evening of pure escapism. The Heritage has introduced a spring season of recession busting ticket prices. Tickets R150 from Tuesday to Thursday; R190 Friday and Saturday, and R165 Sunday lunchtime including our delicious two-course meal. There is also the “show-only” option of R100 per person. Bookings through the Heritage Theatre on 031 7654197 or at www.heritagetheatre.co.za
