MISFITS

BBC Entertainment has lined up the brand new award-winning programme, Misfits on DStv.

Misfits is a BAFTA 2010 award winning drama starring a cast of talented young British actors and scripted by acclaimed writer Howard Overman (Spooks, Hustle). A smash hit with UK audiences when it premiered in November 2009, Misfits outperformed UK terrestrial stations BBC Two, Channel 4 and five in the ratings when it broadcast on digital channel E4.

Also, in a UK first, Misfits had the characters tweeting live on Twitter throughout the series run. The Facebook fan group grew to over 60,000 during the series transmission.

Five unruly teenagers are begrudgingly forced to serve the community as payback for their crimes… until a freak storm turned them into the most unlikely superheroes. Kelly, Nathan, Curtis, Alisha and Simon have one thing in common: they’ve all committed a crime and have all been handed out Community Service Orders. Nevertheless, this doesn’t make them friends. In fact, the group couldn’t be more different. So when they find themselves working together on community service as pay back for their crimes, it doesn’t take long for the sparks to fly.

The series stars Robert Sheehan; Lauren Socha; Nathan Stewart Jarrett; Antonia Thomas and Iwan Rheon.
