Forming part of the Playhouse Company’s 2012 Community Arts Festival is A Dress Re: Dress which appears in Programme 1.
A Dress Re: Dress focuses on the topic of female identity perception, explored through woman engaging with woman and woman engaging with self. It raises the questions of the choices women make in defining themselves in terms of purpose, position and presentation and the sometimes exaggerated lengths they pursue to attain this.
The work has been workshopped and is performed by Heather Gielink and Annalisa Gxabu.
CAF Programme 1 will be performed on April 12 at 18h00, April 13 at 11h00 (schools) and April 14 at 14h00. Admission is free to all CAF performances at The Playhouse.
