(The combined choir of the Arise o Man ensemble)The classical choral men’s chorus, the Arise o Man ensemble, will appear at Emmanuel Cathedral on Woman’s Day.
This chorus is a combination and collaborative effort of male groups from three continents: Africa, Europe and North America. The individual men’s choruses include: the Oregon Adventist Men’s Chorus (USA); the Orlando West Male Chorale and SDASA Chorale, (Soweto); the Remnant Male Chorale (Eastern and Western Cape), and the Botswana Men’s Chorus. Each performance will have a total of more than 150 voices!
The overall vision of the tour is encapsulated in the following statement: “Arise o Man’ (also one of the hymns in the repertoire) which works to remind communities of South Africa through the ministry of music that every man – young and old - is a unique and valued creation of God, and is encouraged to take up his rightful place in society”.
The concert takes place on Woman’s Day (August 9) at Emmanuel Cathedral at 15h00. Tickets R90 booked through Computicket.
