( Lloyd De Gier, Marion Loudon, John Ellis and Shelley McLean)

Following their highly acclaimed Durban Theatre awards-nominated show, the all-star cast behind Rocking It Gently is back. Shelley Mclean and John Ellis with the highly experienced Lloyd De Gier & Marion Loudon join musical forces for an evening of well-known songs and banter that wowed Durban theatre audiences and industry folk alike in 2010. The setting is intimate and unplugged and it’s the perfect environment to hear favourite songs sung by some of Durban’s finest talent.

Get ready as this dynamic team of singers and musicians deliver superb renditions of classic tunes, taking a fresh look at bands from U2 to Fleetwood Mac, the Police to Crowded House and the Bob Marley as well as the Beatles, Tears for Fears and even Suzanne Vega!

John Ellis, front man of Tree63 needs little introduction and has enjoyed great success with his music both locally and internationally; Shelley McLean accomplished Durban singer and pianist, seen most recently at the Kearsney Upbeat Festival; the refreshing Lloyd De Gier with his own musical pedigree, and Marion Loudon, the vivacious vocalist, recently seen in Burlesque and Abbamaniacs.

Rocking It Gently promises a ‘concert-feel’ revue, packed full of heartfelt performances on guitars, keyboards, tambourines, with a few other musical surprises, soulful harmonies and great live musicianship.

The show runs from September 25 until October 7 at the Heritage Supper Theatre in Hillcrest. Bookings on 031 765 4197.
