Thanks
to the partnership and support from the KZN Department of Arts and Culture, the
“Last Night of the Proms” concert project expanded this year to include a choir
workshop to help grow the development aspect of the event. For the first time, choir leaders were
invited to join the conductor and the participating choirs for a training
workshop slot. The workshop included training about how a conductor works with choirs
to prepare them for a major orchestral concert; how to get the best out of the
participants and how to guide and prepare choristers for a performance.
