The next
Friends of Music recital takes place on November 20 and will feature internationally
acclaimed pianist Inon Barnatan. Born in Israel, he now resides in New York.
His
programme will include Debussy’s Suite
Bergamasque; Stevenson’s Peter Grimes
Fantasy; Ravel’s La Valse and Schubert’s
Sonata in A Major, D. 959.
The Prelude Performer, courtesy of the National Lottery Distribution
Trust Fund, is
Elizabeth
Manduell on flute. Accompanied on piano by Bobby Mills, she will perform Krishna
by Albert Roussel; Chanson d’amour by
Gabriel Faure and La Vie en Rose by
Edith Piaf. Elisabeth is a member of the KZN
Youth Choir, and will be touring with the choir to Europe in 2013.
The recital will take place on November 20 at 19h45 at
the Durban Jewish
Centre, 44 Old Fort (K.E. Masinga) Road, Durban. There is safe parking. Tickets
