The Faculty of Art and Design of the Durban
University of Technology will announce the winner of the Emma Smith Art
Scholarship 2012 Award on February 4. The winner of the scholarship award will
receive R40,000.
Nominees for the 2012 award include: Busisiwe
Memela (Fashion Design); Jeandré Venter (Fashion Design); Mhlonishwa Chiliza
(Fine Art); Karla Nixon (Fine Art); Li Joshua (Graphic Design); Jacques Hoffman
(Graphic Design); Angela Sagar (Interior Design); Kelsey Sutton (Interior
Design); Glenn Adendorff (Jewellery Design); Songezo Baleni (Jewellery Design);
Jared Hinde (Video Technology) and Luke Mason (Video Technology).
An exhibition of the nominees’ works will
be up until February 8 at City Campus, Room 24 - Interior Design.
