The Monday lunch hour concert at Howard
College Theatre on February 25 features singer-songwriter Fiona Tozer (guitar
and voice), accompanied on flute and recorder by Keri Povall. They will be
performing Tozer's original songs and looking at how they fit into the folk
genre.
Fiona Tozer is a Durban-based singer,
guitarist and songwriter, a veteran of many Splashy Fen festivals and a regular
performer at other national and local music events. Her songs, in contemporary
folk and acoustic rock style, have to date been released on the albums; Odyssey, Neverland and Light and Sound, and the recently
released Somewhere Else. She has been
venturing into other genres of music and completed a Masters degree in
composition at the University of KZN in 2008.
The concert takes place from 12h15 to 13h00
on February 25 and entrance is free. Howard College Theatre is on the UKZN
Durban (Howard College) campus.
