(Monde Tshazi as 'B, Precious Khoza as 'A' and Thabiso Radebe as Patrick
Skhakhane)
Iyasimama Pty Ltd presents Misconception a play written and directed by Thabiso Radebe who
grabbed the audiences’ and median attention in Durban with his High Heels with Balls last year.
The mental state of an artist can be one of constant
conflict, self recrimination and guilt. This play attempts to examine multiple personalities
that have been incorporated into the individual consciousness. And the
misconception of ideas that mislead the way we experience events in everyday
life.
Patrick Skhakhane (an artist) shares the difficulty of
growing up without a father in an unprincipled world ... his father was never
there for his family. There's guilt, suffering, death and conflict between the
characters. The play is philosophical and focuses on existence but clearly
depicts the troubles as family experiences.
The three-hander features Thabiso Radebe as Patrick
Skhakhane , Precious Khoza as 'A' and Monde Tshazi as 'B'.
The play will be staged at the DUT ART Gallery Steve Biko
Campus from April 8 to 12.Tickets R50 at the door or for bookings contact Francesca
