SANDY BIGARA'S SUPERSTAR KIDS

(Sandy Bigara with Georgie Monkey, Kelsey Jeann and Savanna Rae)

Sandy Bigara is at it again! During the April holidays she will perform a short sing-along show followed by a fun interactive drama workshop. “There is a gorgeous playground and tea garden available at @TAP for Mums, Dads and siblings to play in while the show and workshop take place,” she explains. “The shows and workshops all lead on from one another, but also work independently – so youngsters can attend all four or just one!”

Bigara explains the process for the week, in that there will be a different theme each day:

April 2: Singing & the Stage teaches youngsters how to be loud and proud on stage – they will have opportunity to work with a microphone and have a chance to sing like a glee choir!

April 3: Action & Drama shows how to use the space provided and offering a great laugh acting out different emotions and being real divas!

April 4: Puppetry & Movement will cover the teachings of Nieke Lombard (formerly of the Handspring Puppet Company in Cape Town) and shows how to bring inanimate objects to life, utilising movement and creativity!

April 5: Dance & Action offers hip hop dance moves and learning to listen to and move to music - from all over the world!

Sandy Bigara has a long and colourful history within the Durban performance arts. Her sponsored educational children’s shows have entertained over 950,000 children since the end of 2008. She also does paid children’s shows at local schools.
