FROM HIEROGLYPHS TO OPEN TYPE

The popular Mondays @ Six at St Clements programme tomorrow (April 15) will feature a fascinating presentation by Anton and Merle Scholtz. It will consist of answers to the following questions:

How and where did alphabets & fonts originate?
How have our present-day fonts emerged from their beginnings?
What changes in technology have enabled font changes?
How do we design fonts today? Illustrations from our own work.
How are fonts marketed? Illustrations from our marketing.

Titled From Hieroglyphs to Open Type, the presentation will be illustrated by slides.

St Clements is situated at 191 Musgrave Road. Mondays at Six run between 18h00 and 19h00. Table bookings are advised on 031 202 2511. There is no cover charge but there is a donations box to support presenters.
