On December 1, Music Revival will present KZN Rising Stars, another of the popular
free Sunday Morning concerts in association with Friends of the Tatham Art
Gallery (FOTAG).
The KZN
Rising Stars concerts are arranged by the South African Society of Music
Teachers. Performers are selected from among the best senior school-going performers
who study with members of the Society. This year, the concert features
pianists, singers and recorder players who appear in a range of music from
different periods - from the early Baroque Period to the present day, including
songs from Musicals and African Traditional.
The performers have distinguished
themselves in various ways over the years in grade and diploma examinations, in
local festivals and eisteddfods, and in prestigious concerts. Some of them have
successfully participated in National competitions, and a number have performed
with the KZNPO and are already known to a wider public.
KZN
Rising Stars will take place on December 1 at 11h00
at the TATHAM ART GALLERY in Pietermaritzburg. Donations collected. Secure
parking is available in the new Parliamentary area and the entrance is via
Langalibalele Street. (The Café Tatham will be closed on the day).
