Countdown to the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun! Get up to speed with two specials prior to the season launch.

The Emmy® Award-winning drama series Game of Thrones returns to M-Net, channel 101, on April 18 at 21h30, shortly after its US premiere. As a special treat to fans of the series, as well as those viewers who have not watched the series from the start, M-Net will also screen an exclusive one-hour special on the channel on April 11 respectively, in the time-slot allocated to the series.

The special is built around behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the actors, directors, producers and set designers that illustrate the magnitude of this production.

The exclusive Game of Thrones special also takes viewers on a journey through the major events in the series to date, explains how all the families and characters have developed, and shows in detail how the different locations in different countries have challenged the actors and producers.

Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones is an epic story of treachery and nobility set on the continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years, and only the lust for power is eternal. The series is also executive-produced by David Benioff, D B Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernie Caulfield. Martin is among the co-executive producers. A large part of season 4 storyline will be on the second half of Martin’s A Storm of Swords, the third in his A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Game of Thrones’ returning cast is led by Peter Dinklage (Emmy® for this role), Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Charles Dance, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and others.

Game of Thrones Season 4 will be available on all DStv Catch Up services. For additional information about DStv Catch Up on iPad, iPhone, online and Explora click on the following link:
