Bottle of Problems
is a dark comedy, exploring the relationship between siblings and the secrets people
hide from each other.
Directed by Preven Reddy and written by Mikhale Singh, the
same team that presented Born From A
Boombox, the production spirals into a narrative that studies the
relationships between people and explores themes of revenge, justice and
sibling rivalry by looking at the after-effects of giving into a second of
improbable madness.
The team compromises AFDA Durban students and the piece has
been inspired by people they know or have met as well as the people they are.
The show is produced by Blunt Productions, a production
company started in the team’s Grade 11 year, where they worked on their own production,
and assisted on countless others.
They aim to keep their shows youth-minded, with universal
themes.
Bottle of Problems
has its last performance tonight at Seabrooke’s Theatre at DHS at 19h00 and runs
for one hour. Tickets R40.
