Anasia Govender runs her own restaurant, Chilli Kadhai, in
Briardene. Not only does she do all the cooking herself, she is provides the
entertainment for her buffet dinner and comedy shows.
Her show is titled Annalakshmi’s
African Adventure and it takes the form of stand-up comedy with a
difference, depicting Annalakshmi's experience in South Africa as well as why
she left India.
The buffet menu includes Marvellous Mutton Curry; Tantalising
Trotters & Beans; Tasty Tripe & Gram Dhall; Grilled Chicken; Delicious
Dhall Makhani; Sensational Soya Prawn Chutney; Creamy Veg Pasta; Rice/Roti; Salads and Pickles rounded off by Ice cream and custard.
Annalakshmi’s African
Adventure has performances every Saturday at 19h00 until June 27. Entrance R150 pp offers good food and good
entertainment.
