(Ryan Joshua, Angela Valverde-Riekert & Jaziel Vaugh'hann)

The sold-out show Smoke n' Sultry has been extended for a further two performances at Jazzy Rainbow on August 2 and 3, 2019.

The show is based in downtown New York in the late 1930's in an underground piano bar where booze, jazz and smokin' hot women were an escape from a war-obsessed world. Inspired by the sounds of the Great Gatsby era, Smoke n' Sultry is a love story that promises to take you back to a place where love, style and fashion long surpassed the Great Depression and music saved the day.

Smoke n' Sultry stars smooth voiced Jaziel Vaugh'hann, American-born songbird Angela Valverde-Riekert and the piping hot music maestro Ryan Joshua on keys.

Valverde-Riekert has been in all aspects of this industry; singer, voice over artist, and actress for over two decades. She has performed all over the world as a featured vocalist, and back up vocalist for many names in this industry. She has made Durban her home the past eight and a half years. This is her Jazzy Rainbow debut.

Vaugh'hann was described by Cosmopolitan magazine as a flamboyant music maker with brooding good looks. And that he is! With a flair for the arts and a taste for all things exotic, Vaugh'hann made his theatrical debut in 2008 as Prince Charming in the naughty adult pantomimes. He has since then released three albums, performed for kings and presidents, made several radio, film and TV show appearances. And is also the voice behind many a sexy stud in your favourite Spanish soap operas.

Durban’s own Joshua's natural tendency to play music developed soon after he could walk. With such incredible ability from that tender age, he went on to train under some of Durban's living legends. He made history when he was accepted into the Durban music and ballet school as an exceptional student. He has since performed alongside some of the best names in the business which he attributes greatly to being the music maestro he is today.

With something old, something new, something borrowed & something blue, this smouldering, sexy show is a must see for all music lovers.

Smoke n' Sultry has performances on August 2 and 3 at 20h30 at the Jazzy Rainbow, Goble Road, Morningside. Tickets R100 if pre-booked or R120 at the door. Dress code: Fabulous /Great Gatsby theme
